The last thing you want to feel when putting on your dress the morning of your wedding is BLOATED! Here are some foods to skip on to help you beat the bloat:
- Beans–All legumes will make up gassy, so they are best avoided.
- Artificial sweeteners–Found in all diet soda, and “sugar free” drinks.
- Processed food–If it wasn’t purchased from the outer rim of the grocery store, chances are it’s processed.
- Alcohol–Save the libations for your reception!
- Cruciferous Vegetables–Broccolli and coliflower are great for you, but not on your wedding day. These vegetables will cause you to bloat!
- Salty foods–Salt causes water retention, not something you want to have to worry about before your wedding.
- Carbonated beverages–Those tiny bubbles won’t do you any favors. Leave your hydration to water, it does the best job anyway.
- Dairy–Sad but true, dairy causes gas as well.
- Chewing Gum–Think before popping that stick!
- Gluten–Unfortunately, the wheat grown in the United States is genetically modified which means it’s processed (see #3).
So what can I eat? Three days before your wedding, start a paleo protocol. Your stress levels will be lower, you will sleep better and your skin will be clearer. And not to mention your dress will fit better.
