It is no secret that divorce rates in the United States are extremely high, with one in every two marriages ending in divorce. Those just getting married are probably thinking they will never find themselves in that situation. Hopefully that is the case, but it does bring up the question, “Why do so many relationships end in divorce?”
The connection you share with your future husband or wife is unexplainable and something everyone should experience. However, those feelings slowly change for couples who are unable to communicate effectively.
When people initially think of communication, they assume that only includes talking to one another. Communication is much more than simply talking; it is how you LISTEN, how you share ideas and concerns, and how you react to your spouse when no words are spoken. Some studies have shown that over 90% of communication is nonverbal. All aspects of communication will ultimately play a major factor in the success of your marriage.
The staff at the YMCA Outdoor Challenge Course in Sioux Falls offers an exciting journey for engaged couples. Their outdoor facility offers couples the opportunity to start their marriage off on the right track by helping them learn how to communicate effectively, all while having a great time! The program is committed to helping individuals and groups reach their goals, improve communication, build trust, and develop a deeper connection with one another through a 50 foot rock wall, ropes courses and activities.
If you are looking for a unique and exciting adventure to develop a stronger relationship with your future spouse, family and friends, the outdoor challenge personnel would be happy to design a program specifically for you.
