Types of Wedding Day Transportation

There are many different types of transportation a bride can choose for her wedding day. The most traditional and popular are limousines. Most limousines come in either white or black and a variety of styles and sizes. However, limo companies are now coming out with larger versions of the limousine such as Hummers, Escalades, and party buses to name a few. These types of transportation are great for accommodating a large number of people.

Although a limo is the most popular choice of transportation, it is not the only way you can transport your bridal party. Many cities have trolleys that are available to rent for private parties. Trolleys are a neat alternative transportation because they not only fit a large number of people but offer a different romantic twist to your wedding.

Some other fun transportation options include luxury sports cars such as a Mercedes or Lamborghinis. You could also go with a more retro feel by choosing an old Cadillac Convertible or Ford Mustang.  These small vehicles will offer a fun flare to your wedding. Another option to consider is a magical horse drawn carriage for a romantic ride. Although all these options will not be able to fit your bridal party, they are perfect for the bride and groom.

Some less traditional transportation options include motorcycle, horseback, hot air balloon, a sleigh ride, golf cart, taxi cab or boat. Motorcycles and hot air balloons are great for those truly adventurous couples. Riding away on horseback is a romantic and wonderful form of transportation for those horse lovers. A sleigh ride is a perfect option for a winter wedding, just don’t forget lots of blankets to keep warm. A decorated golf cart is a fun option for an outdoor wedding. For those urban city couples, a taxi cab could be an economic option due to their availability and knack for getting you exactly where you need to be.

A boat could be perfectly suited for a waterside or destination wedding, and add a fun whimsical appeal. Although these modes of transportation are unconventional, they will leave a lasting impression on your guests. Picking the transportation style that best represents the theme and style you want to create for your wedding day will be fun.
