5. How did he/you propose?  Tell us your engagement story.
We were going to exchange Christmas gifts, but he said he felt bad because part of my gift he ordered online and it had not come yet. He gave me the first part of my gift as a joke. It was a metal detector. This is something my dad and I had always wanted as we thought it would be fun to see what we could find. Of course I wanted to try this out right away, so we went out to Mike's parent's cabin outside of town to look in the sand. I tried it out and found things like nails and pop bottle caps but the ground was quite frozen. Mike then wanted to switch and he would run the metal detector and I could try to dig. He found a couple little things and then found something a little bigger. I dug up a little black box in the snow which of course had a ring! He had went out there earlier in the morning and hid this, knowing I would be excited to go out there! I was very surprised and was not expecting it at all that day.

6. What do you like most about your fiancé?
He is easy going, supportive, and there is no one else I'd rather spend my time with just hanging out and doing anything with!

7. What does your fiancé like most about you?
We have the same sense of humor and is my best friend.

8. How long have you been together?
About 2 1/2 years. I met him at a wedding 3 years ago, but we did not start dating right away.

9. Where are you favorite places to go with you fiancé and/or your favorite hobbies as a couple?
Our favorite things to do together are going out to eat, making meals at home, and watching movies at home.

10. Who is your maid of honor/best man?  How long have you known this person?
The matron of honor will be my sister. We did not get along when we were growing up, but have become the best of friends as we got older. Mike has not yet chosen his best man.

11. How many people are in your wedding party?
Eight

12. What does winning this prize package mean to you?
We still have many things to plan and this prize package will help familiarize us with local services.

13. How much of your wedding planning is already completed?
We have the church/pastor and reception site, as well as a photographer and organist. We are having fun with the planning!

14. Who has planned most of your wedding details so far?
Me (the bride), I like to bounce my ideas off of Mike or our mothers.

15. Where are you going on your honeymoon?  Why did you pick this location?
We have not decided, but are thinking Florida or Mexico. We would love time to relax on a beach. 

16. Name something unique about your wedding.
So far, everything that is planned is quite basic. We will have to think of ways to make our day special and a little different from an average wedding.

17. Any other comments or things you would like people to know about your relationship or wedding?
We live about 3 hours apart right now. We are looking forward to spending each and every day with each other after the wedding.
