One part of your wedding day that is sure to adore all of your guests is when the flower girl comes walking down the aisle. The sweet little child is not only a precious part of the ceremony that delights the guests, but she also carries on the details of your wedding theme from her accessories to even the flowers she throws.
The bridesmaids aren’t the only ones who you can incorporate your wedding details. There are many creative and fun ways utilize the flower girl. Headpieces and corsages are ways to add the elements of your theme into the littlest ones in your wedding. You can also wrap a colored sash around their dress using one of your wedding colors.
The biggest duty of a flower girl is walking down the aisle and throwing petals. Be creative about with your flower girl’s basket and what exactly she throws. For example, if you have a certain flower theme in your wedding, have the flower girl drop those petals down the aisle, or if you are having a fall wedding use vibrant leaves instead of petals.

- A wand will add a fairytale felling to your day and delight your guests as the “princess-like” little girl strolls down the aisle. You can even add a person touch by decorating it yourself with flowers, ribbon & tulle.
- A wagon is a great option especially for an outdoor wedding or if you have more than one flower girl. The older girl can pull the younger one in the wagon or you can even have the ring bearer pull the flower girl down the aisle.
- Blowing bubbles can be used as an alternative to carrying flowers. Not only is it a creative change from the typical basket, but also it is fun for the flower girl!
