For some couples a large portion of the guest list will consist of those little ones that tend to have a very short attention span. While dinner and dancing might be enough to keep most adults entertained, you will most likely need something more for the children.
Coloring books and puzzles are a great way to keep the kids occupied while the adults socialize. Consider having a small table or area at the reception specifically for kids that contains some of these games and activities.
Goodie bags are always exciting for little ones! They love the tasty treats and will be surprised and delighted to receive anything at all! You can even include some small toys inside the goodie bag to grab their attention. Try to avoid giving toys that make noise. You don’t want them to compete against your DJ or band! Also, be careful about toys that can be easily thrown like little bouncy balls. It could be a hazard if those get thrown onto the dance floor! Also, make sure that the toys you give are age appropriate. You don’t’ want toddlers or really young children to have small objects that they might put in their mouth.
